What a coincidence.

I always liked flying through levels. It may have been slower than running, but it was more fun.

It's a shame SA2 stuck to the stupid mechs. I had to limit myself to flying around the Chao garden, and there was never really any reason to.

Yeah, flying (and the same kinda applies with gliding and knuckles) is just fun cause it's different. Why do what you can with sonic when you can do this?

I am interested in the next part, keep it up.

Next video won't be up for quite some time. Working on a 4th of July video :D

For the meantime, with the recent death of MJ, I thought this would be a bit appropriate:

Micheal Jackson and SEGA
Image
Ahh, I'm sure we're all familiar with Moonwalker (with Soapynome LPing it :D), but that alone wasn't just the only thing MJ had with SEGA.

For one, MJ loved video games, and he liked the character Sonic, and he wanted to make music for one of the games. The current game at the time being Sonic 3, rumors speculated that he was involved with some of the game music. While nobody at SEGA/Sonic Team has 100% confirmed this, if you listen to some of the tunes in Sonic 3, the resemblance is uncanny. The best piece of evidence to this being the credit music used for Sonic 3 and Jackson's Strangers in Moscow. A mix of the two here. Others are Ice Cap Zone & Jackson's Who is it and Carnival Night Zone & Jackson's Jam.

More on that in this article.

Anywho, around the time of the Dreamcast, SEGA was working on a new series called Space Channel 5, and MJ wanted to be a part of it. So he got a cameo under the name "Space Micheal" in the original, but played a much bigger part in the sequel.

And with Micheal's recent passing, SEGA has this to say:
SEGA wrote:
We here at SEGA were very sad to hear about the passing of Michael Jackson. He was a true music legend whose songs touched each of us at some point in our lives. We are proud to have worked with him and included his music in some of our most well-remembered games and are sure that his genius will live on through his great body of work. We have no doubt that future generations will be moonwalking to all his greatest hits.

Something tells me I might be forgetting anything, so if I am, fill free to tell me.

Well we got the obligatory water level over with, though it didn't end the way I wanted to. We're playing as scrapped character:

One (obvious) character left and my favorite zone is next. Hoping to get Pt.5 by Tuesday-Wednesday.

Huh, how... non-official (the picture, it's not as good of quality as the others)

I am interested as he has nothing to bring to the table for "uniqueness".

I mean, he was originally a scraped design for sonic. Plus, Mighty's creator left SEGA and took Mighty with him, so we won't be seeing him in a game for never.

Did I miss something or is there no video link in the post?

It's in the OP, but not the announcement post. Unless I just overlooked it...

He looks more like an armadillo than Knuckles looks like an echidna.

That was my bad, forgot to post a link in the update post.

And Fighterknux, that was the official art for Knuckles' Chaotix, different artist. It's why it looks different than the other art so far.

EDIT: OP is updated with YT link and Mighty's last ability.

huh. Using the shields as his main ability huh? That's actually really clever. I gotta give props to those who made this for that.

Did I say Tuesday or Wednesday, I meant Monday morning. My favorite Zone of the game and last character to play as:
Image
Part 6 I got something special, so this will take a while and it won't magically appear the next day.

Now THIS was a pleasant surprise ^.^

Anyway, with regards to Shadow's own game I'm one of the few people who actually like it; it's fun, there's nothing overly stupid in it (aside from one level), and it's somewhat reminiscent of Heroes IMO (another game I like that the vast majority don't). Also, it has the only good J-Rock song in the history of ever.

I thought it was okay at first, but honestly? It started to un-grow on me.

I actually enjoyed Shadow's 2-player mode in his game than the story. Only because the mechs were stupid fun to use.

In single player it was okay, but it got annoying to have to replay certain levels just so you could get a different ending.

That's my only real qualm with it; 393-ish endings, and the differences between them are minimalist.

I know it's not a good game (the last story pretty much contradicted everything that was established in SA2, plus the concept was fucking retarded. If they used mephilis from 06 as the villain instead of Black doom, that would work out better) But I like Shadow's game, and I'm surprisingly good at it. I almost always get A's on the bosses :/

As for the endings, you only needed to do the 10. there's good, good-neutral, neutral, evil neutral, and evil, then there's hero-good, dark good, and so on.

But, it's obvious what the last character is. Looking forward to it GBH :good:

The thing that really got me about Shadow the Hedgehog, outside of the gameplay (which wasn't terrible, exactly, but the speed of it always felt kind of off to me), was the plot.

And by "the plot" I mean "WHO AM I WHY AM I HERE MARIAAAAAAAAAAA"
