Next video won't be up for quite some time. Working on a 4th of July video

For the meantime, with the recent death of MJ, I thought this would be a bit appropriate:
Micheal Jackson and SEGA
Ahh, I'm sure we're all familiar with Moonwalker (with Soapynome LPing it

), but that alone wasn't just the only thing MJ had with SEGA.
For one,
MJ loved video games, and he liked the character Sonic, and he wanted to make music for one of the games. The current game at the time being Sonic 3,
rumors speculated that he was involved with some of the game music. While nobody at SEGA/Sonic Team has 100% confirmed this, if you listen to some of the tunes in Sonic 3, the resemblance is uncanny. The best piece of evidence to this being the
credit music used for Sonic 3 and
Jackson's Strangers in Moscow.
A mix of the two here. Others are
Ice Cap Zone &
Jackson's Who is it and
Carnival Night Zone &
Jackson's Jam.
More on that in this article.Anywho, around the time of the Dreamcast, SEGA was working on a new series called Space Channel 5, and MJ wanted to be a part of it.
So he got a cameo under the name "Space Micheal" in the original, but
played a much bigger part in the sequel.
And with Micheal's recent passing, SEGA has this to say:
SEGA wrote:
We here at SEGA were very sad to hear about the passing of Michael Jackson. He was a true music legend whose songs touched each of us at some point in our lives. We are proud to have worked with him and included his music in some of our most well-remembered games and are sure that his genius will live on through his great body of work. We have no doubt that future generations will be moonwalking to all his greatest hits.
Something tells me I might be forgetting anything, so if I am, fill free to tell me.
